The aquarium has captured and released three white sharks equipped with monitoring devices, according to an article in today's Chronicle. In my column in today??s San Jose Mercury News, I stick my neck far out and attempt to name the Best Beer Pubs of Silicon Valley. In my previous column I asked for suggestions from readers. Did they ever comment. Summary: The South Bay is a expletive deleted!! beer desert. Then I spent several days trekking around the South Bay checking out pubs. Whew. They weren??t kidding. giant soaring birds on the way from sacramento to monterey bay
anyone know this area? I keep seeing these monster sized birds around the highway. Im sure some are turkey vultures but some dont look like vultures at all! I was wondering if lots of golden eagles fly around the roads a lot around here?? Some of birds had a bit of white on their lower wing feathers

Monterey Bay Aquarium Sharks are Total Party Animals
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has gathered conclusive evidence that great white sharks participate in their own version of Spring Break. The aquarium has captured and released three white sharks equipped with monitoring devices, according to an article in today's Chronicle. The devices show that after release, the sharks quickly head south. One female shark made it to Santa Barbara, while a male released in Feb, swam to Baja before heading to party central, Cabo. Last week, I neglected to post any selections. Visionaire won the Gotham Stakes and Pyro won the Louisiana Derby. Two weeks ago, Monterey Jazz finished twelfth in the Santa Anita Handicap. So far this year, a flat 2 win wager on my selections has yielded a net profit of 29.20 on total wagers of 26.
